Well-worn and still my best.
I like broken things
My favorite shirt has campfire smoke woven into its worn fabric
My best cap is scarred by dog bites and dirt stains
My old boots are half leather, half duct tape
I like broken things
I wear the stories they tell
A patchwork of thread and grass
Frayed edges resisting time
Faded poems from the past
Broken but still important
Broken but still useful
Broken but still loved
Broken like me
A t-shirt mended by smoke and late night campfire songs - there is nothing better.
