Bus passengers scrambling to take a picture of a rainbow before it fades,

An elderly man raising his arms as he coasts down a hill on his bike,

A young woman sharing a joke with a friend who can’t stop laughing,

These things make me happy.

We call them the little things in life.

The passengers are admiring the beauty of God’s creation.

The old man feels young again as the wind brushes his face.

The girls share comradery and joy.

By no means are these the little things in life.

These are the beautiful things in life.
