Let It Burn

A reminder to myself

You are your decisions.

Make courageous decisions and see yourself grow in virtue.

Make cowardly decisions and expect to drown in fear.

If it is not true, don’t say it.

If it is not good, don’t do it.

If it does not honor God, do not entertain it.

Embody moral excellence.

Cling to it as if your life depended on it.

And let all else burn.

Your pride, your selfishness, your fear - cast it into the pit and let it burn.

Watch the flames grow as past sins are charred and renewed purity rises with the smoke.

Set fire to every bridge leading to darkness.

Allow the wind to fan your flame.

And let it burn.
