You say you got a haircut,

But somehow, I don’t see it.

Maybe I forgot your old hairstyle,

After all, memories do grow hazy over time.

Or maybe I don’t see it,

Because I never looked at your hair,

Or your face and eyes,

Your mouth and smile.

Maybe I never looked at any part of you,

Because all I saw was that wild side of you.

It made all else fade away.

Perhaps, even now,

As you stand before me,

I don’t see the change,

Because now I see your face,

And your nose and eyes,

Your mouth and smile.

Perhaps now I see your hair but not your haircut,

Because I’m blinded, and you look nice.

And I’m sure it looks just fine.
